St-Luc proudly obtains BRC/IOP certificate

On 2nd June 2009, after an intensive and meticulous preparation, St-Luc obtained the official BRC/IOP certificate.
This makes St-Luc one of the first packaging printers to meet the stringent standards of the British Retail Consortium and it is indeed not hiding its pride.

What is BRC/IOP?

The BRC (British Retail Consortium) describes hygiene and food safety requirements for food-processing and pharmaceutical companies that directly supply the retail sector. In addition to the standards for food products, BRC has also introduced standards for packaging of food products in cooperation with the Institute of Packaging (IOP). These are the BRC/IOP standards, which are aimed at hygienic production of packaging materials for the food industry.

St-Luc and BRC/IOP

As a printer who specialises in packaging materials, St-Luc does not in the least underrate the importance of food safety, quality and personal hygiene. On the contrary: both quality and hygiene have been central to the mission of our printing business, which indeed are its most valuable business items.
At the beginning of 2007, St-Luc took up the challenge and committed itself one hundred percent to meet the BRC/IOP standards. This intensive preparation was concluded on 25th March 2009 with a certifying audit and was eventually crowned by the BRC/IOP certificate on 2nd June 2009, the official recognition for all the hard work and many efforts.
