Investor in People (IiP) is a practical and continual process of improvement which an organisation employs for a (more) person-oriented HR policy.
The dedication and involvement of the people is the driving force. The ambition and goals of the organisation, the team and the individual are coordinated in IiP and geared into development efforts. Goal-oriented development is more than schooling and training here, and constitutes everything that helps an organisation to understand itself better. Daring and honesty on the part of all concerned participants (in particular the executives and line managers) is a critical factor for success. Because certification is a part of the IiP process, good intentions could be recompensed and the cycle of improvement guaranteed. In May 2008 St-Luc took the initial steps towards gaining this certificate. The growth plan, for which the preparation for obtaining the Investor in People certificate is one of the major landmarks, will be submitted in March 2009.
